How Prediction Market Works
Bet on Events
You bet on events like: “Will TikTok be banned in the U.S. this year?”
Each event has two possible outcomes (e.g., Yes or No). You buy shares in one of the two outcomes.
Bet Against Other Users, Not the House
If you buy Yes shares, you're betting against another user who buys No shares.
Shares are created when a matching bet is made. For example, if you bet Yes, you’ll hold Yes shares while the opposing user holds No shares.
Price Reflects Probability
Shares are priced between 0 - 100 $GOATS.
The price of a share represents the market's belief in the probability of the event happening. For example, if Yes shares are priced at 40 $GOATS, the event is believed to have a 40% chance of occurring.
Winning and Payouts
When the event concludes, winning shares pay out 100 $GOATS each. Losing shares become worthless.
Limit & Market Orders
You can create betting offers using Limit Orders (set your own price) or accept existing offers instantly with Market Orders.
Shares can be sold before the event ends, allowing you to lock in profits or cut losses based on updated probabilities.
Example
Event: Will $BTC hit $150K by Q1 2025? Outcomes: Yes or No
You believe $BTC will hit $150K and want to bet Yes.
You estimate the chance at 70%, so:
You create a Limit Buy Order for 100 Yes share at 70 $GOATS/share (a Limit Sell Order for No at 30 $GOATS/share is automatically created).
If someone accepts your bet by buying No at 30 $GOATS and fills your order, shares are created, and you're betting against each other.
Alternatively, you can buy Yes at the market price to join the bet immediately.
Example Outcome
Scenario 1: $BTC hits $150K by Q1 2025 - Each Yes share is now worth 100 $GOATS. - Profit = 10,000 - 7,000 = 3,000 $GOATS. Scenario 2: $BTC doesn’t hit $150K - Each No share becomes worth 100 $GOATS, and you lose your 7,000 $GOATS to the opposing user.
